Cut & Sewn | Single Second

Tee shirts and hoodies are the bread & butter of streetwear, every company has to start somewhere. Although you may like a brand for a couple of t-shirts they released. What sets each brand apart is the relationship you have with them, and what they represent. When I say relationship: It could be a connection you have with the person who got you into the brand, or it could go as deep as a personal connection you have with the owners of the company.

I met Trevor & Derek about 18 months ago, at the Deck Art Show presented by Momentum Marketplace. A casual conversation about 'whatever' led to them introducing me to Single Second. Single Second is Saskatoon's connection to limited edition locally-bred streetwear inspired from skateboarding and music.

After further growth of my relationship with them, I decided to carry Single Second in the shop (Momentum Marketplace). After almost 2 years of there company in our doors, we look forward to expanding Single Second locally. You can look forward to Single Second's Spring/Summer Collection and a couple of exciting collaborations and events in the near future.

With all the buzz about Charlie Sheen and after all the stupid/funny shit he has been saying... It seems fitting that Single Second is releasing this collaboration t-shirt with the band 'Cut Your Teeth':

This will be available @ Momentum Marketplace, in the near future.

Cut & Sewn | Maestro X Hall Of Fame

Levi Maestro has been killing it the last two years with his Maestro Knows project. Single handedly changed the idea of a blog/video series. Changing it for the better, while incorporating a bunch of genres (music, skateboarding, fashion, streetwear) into one big project all while documenting his life. His style, uniqueness and creativity can not be taught in a book or class room. Maestro is an artist in his own genre that noone can duplicate.

His creativity can not only be used in a blog or video, but also in fashion and streetwear. He has released quite a few collaborations this year, with the likes of: Los Angeles jeweler Shayan Afshar, 13TH Witness,  and Yue Wu. Each having it's own hype and story behind the product. Recently, Maestro teamed up with Hall Of Fame to produce this sweatshirt:

Maestro has always been a huge supporter of Hall Of Fame, supporting them as a shopper... as well as an occasional visit during a Maestro Knows episode. I love collaborations with a story behind the product and when they work flawlessly together. This sweater is that case, everything about it is cool and original. The front logo gives off a simplistic look to the piece, while the back tells the entire story "Making My Way To The Hall Of Fame". At the rate Levi Maestro is working and progressing... I wouldn't be surprised if they made a "Hall Of Fame" for him.

RESN X Nike SB.

Red for Fire, Green for Weed & Black for "RESN". Sam Smyth (team manager of Girl Skateboards), and Nick Tershay (Diamond Supply Co.) created two designs in 2004 after being approached by Nike SB. For an unknown reason the "Diamond" inspired shoe was released in 2005, and the "RESN" Dunk High was not. But Nike SB made up for the confusion, they will be releasing the Dunk next month alongside a special-edition Diamond Tee to match.... These are the Illest SB's I have seen in a long time!
