I know the anticipation has been driving all you crazy. BestKeptSecret has been writing for us for about a week now, he has definitely brought a lot to our project, I have really enjoyed working with him. And we are excited to work together, I know he will bring different style and views. He is one of my really close friends, I respect his opinion.
Drake, Lil Wayne, Eminem and .... Travis Barker, teamed up for a Grammy quartet. Probably, one of the best live performances I've seen all year(2010)... sorry for all you viewers that watched it on TV, you missed about 20 seconds of the song. hahah.
I really enjoy it when an artist can go out of there "element" but continue to bring there talent in a productive and unique way.
For all you, that enjoyed the Travis Barker contribution to the song.
It's that time of the year, when every clothing company finally lets the public know; what they have for us, to wear for the next 3 months.
We Are The Superlative Conspiracy. WeSC usually puts out alot of very colorful, unique, high end fashion and athletic pieces. Take a look at there webpage, here. If you are from the Saskatoon area, Check out Momentum/Momentum Marketplace/Outtabounds for all things WeSC.
The Kanye 808's and Heartbreak customs I posted before made me think: "I wonder what Kanye would think of those." Well, since Kanye is also a shoe designer, I decided to go back and look at all the shoes he'd produced throughout his career. I was pretty impressed with his work, so I decided to share what I found. Since my first post got me to write THIS post, does that mean "I inspired me?"

Finally! My favorite of XXL's hip-hop 09' freshmen: B.o.B, has just dropped his latest mixtape. Download it here. I truly believe he is a breath of fresh air and the future of hip-hop, which has increasingly been all about "Patron, swag and Auto-tune." Not only is he a rapper, a singer AND a producer, but he is known to play several instruments as well.
His full-length album, which is coming out on, you guessed it, May 25th, is titled The Adventures of Bobby Ray. It is rumored to feature the likes of Lupe Fiasco, T.I. and Eminem. Be sure to check out his excellent first single Nothing On You featuring Bruno Mars.
If you're interested in checking out B.o.B, 2dopeboyz has provided an excellent link to all of B.o.B's previous mixtapes and collections.
As you can see, we look more "official". We got a official web address(www.listenupnow.ca), you can now find us on Twitter, and we got a professional header. All of these changes are for the better, keeping everything fresh/up to date.
"although, this wasn't the one I choose. It looks super good!"
But all of these great changes wouldn't have happened without the help of Randy Farkas. Randy, use to be one of my co-workers at Momentum/Outtabounds. He is a great guy, very talented and smart. He just discovered ListenUp, about a week ago. He saw potential in us, and wanted to help out, with numerous emails about domain searching and hooking me up with a couple of headers and advice. We are stoked/priviledged to work with Captive Audience.
Although, missed from the Momentum/Outtabounds roster. I am happy for him, now working at Captive Audience, enjoying his job. All the best in the future.
"At any rate, My good friend Kevin Lanre runs a program over in the UK called Street Talk. Basically they walk around London and get into all sorts of grand conversations with blokes of all sorts. Generally, interesting things tend to get underway over the course of these conversations and I’ve become a pretty large fan of the show since stumbling across it way back. It’s also probably important to mention that I believe Kevin was the second person to interview me for anything “Award Tour” related. Way back when it the collection was four shirts and no one really cared about what some kid in New Jersey was printing up in his spare time, well..except Kevin I guess. Enough nonsense, Kevin and his bruvs flew over to NYC this Summer and shot a bunch of episodes. They got me to sit down and chat some absolute nonsense. Hopefully you enjoy."-The Award Tour
Phillip is a very creative and inspiring human being. He is working with big names like Hypebeast, and Maestro, to name a few. Although still very humble, You will see alot of great things from him in the future. Can't wait to see what The Madbury Club will bring to the table.
Detoxis Dr. Dre's highly anticipated final album. He was originally intending to release it back in 2004, but he has delayed it repeatedly to produce for other artists. Whenever I bring up Detox, no one ever seems to have heard of this trackthat leaked about a year ago. Dr. Dre handles the production and the hook, while the King of The South and God's Son lend a verse each. Dre recently announced that Detox is slated for a 2011 release.
I've heard some "hate" on the KR3W Footwear Campaign from a couple of employee's... But I still think these are here to stay. I'm going to cop the "black" and "brown" pairs, I don't have any weddings or funerals that I am planning on attending in the next while... but, these will look good when you want to dress up.
I'm not the type of guy to wish for something I cannot afford. But DAMN! these shoes are super nice. I especially like, the simplicity and clean look they give off. Although they have an all over pattern... (all over pattern are played out) the diamond print is a really simple and nice asset to this piece. Low shoes have been my newest obsession the past couple of months, I would definately pick these up. They are from BBC's 2010 Footwear Campaign, so what you can expect from BBC; these DECK SHOES retail @ a-very-large-amount.(I will keep you posted!.. ha)
A-trak, has been DJing since the age of 15. He has won lots of awards and teamed up with Kanye on Tour in 2004. Dirty South Dance Vol 2. Mixtape is A-trak's newest release, its scheduled to release in March 2010. Keep your eyes peeled. Stay posted on his blog.
Arguably one of the most fashion skate brands on the market, KR3W has been leaning towards the more fashion side of skate apparel. These shoes are supposed to be released in the coming seasons. They give KR3W, and Supra followers a more contemporary/clean looking shoe to wear.
As you may or may not know, the sequel to the 1982 film Tron titled Tron Legacy, is set to hit theaters December 17th, 2010. If you haven't seen the trailer yet, get on that shit now homie! Did you watch it? Now imagine that in 3 mafuckin' D!
Another thing you may not know, is that electronic music duo Daft Punk have signed on to compose Tron Legacy's score. Check out "The Crash", rumored to be their new cut for the movie. Can't wait for the soundtrack!
"Oh, you wanna bootleg our CD? Well allow us to retort..."
Apple just unveiled their latest product, the much hyped iPad. Nothing revolutionary; I think if an iPod Touch knocked up a MacBook, this would be the spawn that it birthed. The name iPad kind of reminds me of a funny skit by Dave Chappelle.....Was that Rashida Jones?!
