Mojo So Dope - KiD CuDi

California: Day 2. (July 16th, 2010) Part 2.

After batting practice, we got another surprise. The man on the left (forget his name) gave us the V.I.P treatment, thanks to my PGA professional uncle. We were taken to the luxury 'area'. This is the 'lounging' area where you can watch the game with big screen TV's... AND... all you can eat desserts, and candy all for $Free.99.

This is a restaurant inside the luxury 'area'.

Retro Jersey... DOPE.

After getting the 'grand ' tour. We began to experience the typical baseball environment.

We all got Padre Jersey's for free from the very nice man.

My aunty works for a company that has there own box seating, so we kicked it there for a bit.

This is me. Getting psyched for the game.
Pre-game meal. Hot dogs were really good.

It was time.

California: Day 2. (July 16th, 2010) Part 1.

We spent the early part of the day, hanging out around my Aunties house in SanDiego. I sat on the deck editing pictures for the blog and enjoying a bagel in the sun.
After I finished the first 'California update', I skated down the street(5 minutes) to the community outdoor leisure center. My family was swimming in the pool, so I joined them. On the way back to the house, It was dope... I got to skate down this very steep hill, super fun.

This is my Aunty and Uncle's house, it's in a gated community over looking the charger stadium. Really nice area, walking distance to a lot of shops and restaurants.

My Uncle had planned a surprise for us, he got us tickets to the Padre Game at Petco Park. So, we headed to downtown area. We walked from the Convention Center(we parked underground there)... This is where Comic Con was taken place a couple of days later!
This is a Metro Rail. I wish we had one of these things in Saskatoon.
We arrived at Petco Park! A very nice stadium, new home to the SanDiego Padres.

Our Uncle(being a PGA golf pro) knows a lot of people, let's just say that he has connections. We got to view the Padre batting practice, and get the V.I.P. experience.
p.s. that 'green F' stands for field.
Down through the tunnel, onto the field.
They played the DiamondBacks from Arizona, that guy with the bat has a super dope last name.

California: Day 1. (July 15th, 2010)

First day, we spent the day at Mission Beach along the Pacific Ocean. Great Beach, nice sand, huge waves.

I don't 'care' for sandals... so I wore these, Janoski's... let's just say... I brought some of the beach home with me.

This guy was really 'high'.
Jen and Leo were brave enough to test out the freakishly freezing water.
The waves were actually huge.

Lunch was really good. We went to "Five Star Diner" along the beach. I got a bacon cheeseburger... It isn't in the shot though... I ate it.

I don't understand people sometimes. See the guy with the huge circle tattoo on his back?... he got a 'horoscope wheel'... I guess he was indecisive of what he was on the horoscope wheel... so... he got them all. What an idiot.
There were a lot of people at the beach.

We played a 2-on-2 game of volleyball. Me and Jen versus the two volleyball players (Leo and Mom)... We were down by seven after the first eight points (1 - 7)... we ended up losing but it was close (17-21). We will win next match.

My sister bought those glasses that day for $7, I told her not to. She could have spent that money at In N Out. Can't wait.
It started to rain a bit.
I missed some spots while applying on my suntan lotion... ouch.

California.

Right now, I am on a little vacation down to California (& area), with my family. My aunty and uncle reside in San Diego, both working in typical Cali jobs (uncle: PGA pro, and aunty: big corporate office building... maybe an accountant(?)) So, I am staying with them for 10 days. I am going to try and update you with each day in photos.

Award Tour.

Award Tour has inspired me, since the first time JJ (inno) showed me his blog. He seems to do everything just right. Blogging about everything from; music to fort-making, from art projects to the fashion thing. Phillip Annand is the owner and creator of Award Tour. If you haven't seen it for yourself, do so.

Here is a product shot for Award Tour's upcoming line up. I am thoroughly stoked on this. I have the Award Tour Haiti Tee, I like it alot... Design is great, wish I would have copped a medium though.
Here is what was said on Award Tour underneath this shot :

I figure beautifully shot pictures of upcoming product are more enjoyable than anything else, so I won’t even try to come around and spew a bunch of nonsense to fill up space.  Orders are placed, cotton is being flown back and fourth across the country in the production cycle.  Only a few weeks out from the new Award Tour drop.  It’s been a long, long time.  This should be enjoyable.
Stay Safe-Phil.

Acid Washing Part 2.

After(Front)

I am super stoked on these! I was really questioning it last night, but I am kind of pumped. Considering, this is my first pair, I think I did a decent job. Next, acid wash attempt will be some tank tops! ListenUp.

Acid Washing Part 1.

I have wanted a pair of "acid washed" denim for quite some time now. Recently, I had a talk with a good friend of mine (Tim) and he mentioned that he acid washed one of the tee's he was wearing using bleach. So, I decided to give it a try, I recently got my old baggy Kr3w blue jeans tapered (from the expertise, Tina's Tailoring):
p.s. These aren't actually my legs or my jeans. Just a product shot of the before tapered jeans.

So, tonight at approx. 11:30 pm I built up the courage to sneak away into the garage with bleach, a towel, a home made tank, and my freshly fitted denim to experiment with the concept. First, set up in the garage... laying down a towel, and rolling up my jeans. Second, after realizing I locked myself in the garage, waking up my mother and lying to her "I was just putting something in the garbage, and forgot my keys!"... I went inside to soak my denim and tank in cold water. Wringing them out so, they aren't soaked. Third, laying them flat to begin the splatter of the bleach, keeping in mind that you need to spread out the excess bleach to apply a more "natural" pattern. Fourth, letting them sit for about 5-10 minutes, then taking them to the washing machine to clean the "itchy" chemical from the pieces. I heard that you will need to wash them more than once to get rid of the itchy feeling from the denim. We will have to see though. I will provide some more information and pictures in a later post. ListenUp.
